Medical Risk Management Associates is very busy creating user friendly software which facilitates and documents a thorough, credible and cost-effective root cause analysis in response to a sentinel or other adverse event or condition in a clinical environment. It is our goal to deliver to the health care industry an application that provides an uncomplicated solution for root cause analysis, and simplify the complexities of quality improvement tools. We believe this is a valuable "power" tool to facilitate the reduction of medical errors. The software is available through Accurate Assessments and is scheduled for release on February 1, 2000.


Root Cause Analyst® is designed to lead a root cause analysis team (novice or experienced) through an entire root cause analysis, from problem statement to solution assessment and final report. Target features are discussed in Software Facilitation of Root Cause Analysis. It is fully 32-bit and both LAN and WAN (client-server) capable. Root Cause Analyst® is the only root cause analysis software which guides the user to utilize both inductive and deductive logic in conducting the root cause analysis.
