Training in Root Cause Analysis for Healthcare Organizations

Medical Risk Management Associates is now offering practically-oriented training in our methodology of conducting effective and cost-effective root cause analysis. All of our instructors are physicians or healthcare risk managers, and all are experienced in conducting and facilitating root cause analysis specifically in a healthcare environment. To date, our consultants have conducted or facilitated over eighty root cause analyses in hospitals and other health care organizations.

The training consists of one-day workshops. It is intensive, and heavily focused on the step-by-step processes that can make your root cause analysis teams effective. Less than ¼ of the training time is spent in didactics; the majority is devoted to actually conducting root cause analysis under tutelage. Workshops are limited to approximately forty participants, and involves both large group and small team exercises. By the end of the one day training, you and/or your staff will be comfortable conducting root cause analyses in your own facility.
